DIY: Transform an Oversized top into a Bow Back Top

Soy súper fan de las playeras a rayas, así que cuando vi esta blusa en una tienda de saldos no dudé en comprarla. 

La blusa es talla grande pero la compré con la idea de que seria una buena candidata para un tutorial de como transformar una blusa extra grande a una blusa con moño en la espalda.

Y aquí lo tienen:

I´m a huge fan of the stripped tops so when I saw this one I bought it even it was not my size. I thought It could be perfect to make a tutorial of how to add a bow on the back of an oversized top and here you have it:

Los pasos que seguí / The steps I followed:

1. Doble la blusa a lo largo y corte en la parte que originalmente era la espalda el nuevo cuello. Fold the top at the length and cut a neck line on the back part to make it the new front.

2. La parte que corté del cuello la guarde para el moño. I saved the piece of fabric from the neck for the bow.

3.  Corté la segunda capa que traía al frente. I also take out the layer it has underneath at the the front.

4. Esas son las dos partes de tela que obtuve de los cortes de la blusa. You can see in the image 4 the two pieces of fabric i got from the previous steps 1 & 3)

5. A ambas partes de la tela le hice cortes como se muestra en la fig. 5. Then I just made another cut to both pieces as seen in fig 5.

6. Con ellas formé un moño. With the two pieces of fabric I made a bow.

7. Sujeté el moño con alfileres en la parte que anteriormente era el frente de la blusa. I pinned the bow to the top on the original front (which is now the back)

8. Recorté el excedente y cosí el moño con la máquina. Then I just cut off the excess of fabric and sewed it to the top. That´s all.

Y listo. 

Y así es como me hice de una blusa oversized con moño en la espalda. 

And now I have an oversized top with a big bow on the back.
