Callejón Cultural

Como les prometí en el post anterior, aquí están las fotos que tomé en mi recorrido por el callejón cultural. Para los que aún no lo han visitado este mercadito de antigüedades se pone todos los domingos sobre la calle mina en el barrio antiguo. Para más información den clic en la imagen. Like I promise in my previous post here are the pictures I took during my visit to the Sunday antiques market. Wedges make me tall

He estado ocupada en estos días así que tengo cosas pendientes por publicar… I have been busy these days so I have pending posts…

La semana pasada nos fuimos de paseo al Barrio Antiguo en domingo a visitar el mercadito de antigüedades y artesanías conocido como Callejón Cultural, aquí les dejo las fotos de mi outfit de ese día y en el próximo post les enseñaré algunas de las fotos que tomé en mi recorrido. Last week we went to the old part of the downtown called Barrio Antiguo to visit the Sunday antiques market, so here I´ll show you my outfit from that day and in the next post I´ll show you some of the pictures I took that day.

I ♥ WIDE LEG JEANS

Me encantan estos pantalones porque siempre los uso con plataformas gigantes que me hacen ver alta y además pareciera que tengo piernas largas. Mido 1.52m así que vaya que me hacen falta las plataformas. I really love them because with those jeans I always use platform shoes so they make me look taller and seems like I have long legs. I am 5' tall btw.

Project PEP

Gracias al post de Pink Bow me enteré de este proyecto y la competencia que hay dentro del mismo. Thanks to Pink Bow I knew about this project and the competition.

Este proyecto fue diseñado para contribuir con el financiamiento del centro Simelela en South África. Jimmy Choo donará el 25% de las ventas que se recauden del Proyecto PEP a la Fundación de Elton John contra el SIDA . This project is designed to support the funding of the Simelela centre in South Africa. Jimmy Choo will donate 25% of the net sales from Project PEP to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Para participar en la competencia solo tienes que cargan una imagen que tenga algo que ver contigo, tus zapatos y 72. Se escogerán 100 ganadores a los cuales les entregarán productos del Proyecto PEP, en premio mayor consiste en 7 pares de zapatos y 2 bolsas de Jimmy Choo. To participate in the competition you need to submit a photography that has to do with you, your shoes and 72. Over 100 winners will be chosen to win products from the Project PEP range, with a Grand Prize offering the overall winner 7 pairs of shoes and 2 bags from Jimmy Choo.

DIY - Jelly Pumpkin

Ya casi es noche de Halloween, todavía tengo dulces que me sobraron de la fiesta de mi sobrino, así que estaba pensado en regalarlos a los niños que vengan a pedir dulces ese día y de pronto se me ocurrió la idea de hacer calabacitas con las gomitas que tenia, así que decidí hacer este tutorial por si a alguien le interés, es muy fácil así que aun hay tiempo. Halloween is almost here and I still have some candy leftover from my nephew´s party so I was thinking to give them away to the kids who ask for candy on the night of 31th, then this idea of Pumpkin made of jelly and gummies pop into my head so I decide to make a tutorial for anyone who want to try it, it is so easy, so there is still time to do it.

Para hacer una calabacita necesitas una gomita en forma de gusanito que tenga color verde y unas 8 gomitas en forma de gajitos de naranja. To make one piece you will need one gummy worm that has green on it and approximately 8 fruit jellies in the shape of orange slices.

1. Corta la parte verde del gusanito y guarda el resto para el paso 3. Cut the green end of the worm and save the rest for step 3.
2. Corta los lados de cada una de los gajitos para formar un Angulo como la figura de abajo. Cut the sides of each orange slice to make a small angle in the inner part (see image below).

3 & 4. Coloca el resto del gusanito en una charola que se pueda meter al micro y calienta por 10 segundos o lo que requiera para derretirse. Put the rest of the worm in a safe microwave plate and heat it for about 10 seconds or time necessary to melt.
5. Úsalo como pegamento para unir los gajitos. Use the melted worm as glue to stick together all the orange jelly slices.
6. Presiona los gajitos para dar la forma deseada. Press all slices together to get a nice round shape.
7. Coloca el gusanito verde como tallo de la calabacita. Use the green part of the worm as a pumpkin stem.

Y es todo, ¿muy fácil no? También le puedes dibujar una carita si tienes marcadores de tinta comestible, yo no tengo así que la dejé así. And that is it, you can also draw the face with some Edible Color Markers if you got some; I have not so I just leave it like that.

I want stripes!

Desde que hice el post del look marinero me quedé con la obsesión de las rayas, y como ya tengo azules y rojas mi obsesión actual son las rayas negras.... y más ahora, después de ver que todo el mundo las está usando y cómo las están usando, los outfits se ven increíbles… ¿A poco no se les antojan?

Since I made the post about the nautical look I get obsessed with stripes but I already have some in red and navy blue so my actual obsession is just with black stripes, and now more than ever since there are a lot of people looking great wearing them … don´t you feel like wearing some stripes?
